Natural Dishwasher Liquid

I’ve used this method successfully for about a year. It produces a liquid that is suitable for washing by hand or for the dishwasher, but does not make even a single bubble of foam.

Natural Dishwasher Liquid

  • Difficulty: easy-medium
  • Print

diswasher fluid

Ingredients

  • 100 ml white vinegar
  • 50 ml red wine vinegar
  • 3 lemons
  • 200 g salt
  • 400 ml water

Directions

Caution: The steam while boiling is VERY strong smelling, it is advisable to open the windows!

  1. Juice 3 whole lemons (pass the whole lemons through a juicer or blend them and strain to get a pulp free juice)
  2. Dissolve the salt in the water while bringing to boil
  3. Add vinegar and return to boiling point
  4. Add lemons and return to boil
  5. Boil for 15 minutes

Use: Put it in a glass bottle, preferably in the refrigerator for up to a couple of months, but preferably make the right amount for a month. Use 1 spoon per dishwasher load if you prewash your dishes, and 2 if you don’t.
